The auroras only appear near the Earth’s magnetic poles. They’re usually visible above a latitude of 60 degrees north and below 60 degrees south.

Iceland sits at a latitude of approximately 64 degrees north, making it the perfect place to see the northern lights. But there are some tips you need to know about it: auroras are only to be seen between aprox November and March and there are certain spot you can see it at its best. The first two Christmas Markets have opened in Vienna!

🎄🎅🏻 We already visited them and i think, Vienna really mastered it this time!!! Whereas in other years, the market at Schönbrunn was more chill and not so “Chrismasly”-pimped, this year is totally the opposite!

My opinion is that the city had a hidden project in their pandora box called - “Let’s make the Christmas Market great again!”

Tips:
🍂Be aware that during the place is pretty small for the amount of tourists visiting it
🧡 It might be a challenge finding a parking spot, as there is a small parking with unsufficient places, so everyone parks on the side of the road
🎃 It is opened daily between 9 and 19 o’clock! Except for Sundays, when they close at 18 o’clock!
🍂It is busy during the weekends, so if you have the chance, visit it during the week
🧡 The entrance is fee. You can buy decoration pumpkins from prices starting from 70 cents/pumpkin

🍮There is always a queue in front of the shop
🍹It usually takes less than 30 min. waiting time to be seated to table
🍰 They also serve food. We tried 4 different cake types and pancakrs and they were delicious
💸 It is expensive - between 20-25€ for a coffee and a cake
📋When you ask for the bill, no matter if you pay by card or cash, they ask you if you want to pay in Ft(Hungary’ currency) or €. DO NOT ask it in euros, if you don‘t wana feel fooled. The exchange they use is outrageous!

Day1 - Spend a full day in Palermo. Don’t miss:
✨San Giuseppe dei Padri Teatini Church
✨Piazza Bellini and the Martorana Church
✨Teatro Massimo, the third largest theater in Europe

✨the Palermo Cathedral
✨the Royal Palace of Palermo and its rooftop

Day2 and 3 - Taormina. Don’t miss:
✨The public gardens - Villa Comunale - an amazing park with roman ruins, offering a break-taking view over the Mediterranean Sea
✨The Greek Theatre of Taormina
✨ Walk down the stairs to go at the rocky beach and the Isola Bella
✨From there, take the cable car back the Taormina’s city center
✨Walked through The Corso Umberto - which is Taormina’s main street
✨visit Duomo di Taormina

Day 4 - Mount Etna in the morning the Syracuse in the afternoon and evening
✨Hike the Etna Mountain for about 5 hours- check my blog post about Sicily in bio - for details on prices and more
✨Head to Syracuse and get lost through Ortigia - Syracuses old town
✨Visit Piazza Duomo - the Syracuse center
✨Have dinner at one of the restaurants overlooking the sea

Day 5 - Catania. Don’t miss:
✨Piazza del Duomo and the Fountain of the Elephant
✨The Duomo di Catania
✨From Piazza del Duomo walk on Catania’s main street - Via Etnea
✨From Via Etnea go to , the gardens of Villa Bellini and Piazza dell’Universita
